  Orbeli Brothers House Museum

  Orbeli brothers – Rouben, Levon and Joseph, are sons to a unique Armenian family, the members of which have greatly contributed to science matters for centuries. In the popular winter-resort town of Tsaghkadzor there stands the memorial-museum of Orbeli brothers, a warm house to all the relics and exhibits of the Orbeli family.

  KECHARIS MONASTERY COMPLEX

  The monastery complex of Kecharis (Ejaris, Kecharuik. Darachichak monastery, etc.) is located in the northwestern part of the city of Tsakhkadzor. The monastery is harmoniously connected with the surrounding nature. It consists of four churches, a gavit-narthex, parts and about three dozen khachkars dating from the XI-XVII centuries.
  The monastery committee was formed in the XI-XIII centuries. through the efforts of Princes Pahlavuni and Proshyan (Khakhbakyan). Kecharis was one of the major cultural and spiritual centers of medieval Armenia. Talented political figures, philosophers Grigor Magistros Pahlavuni, Prince Vasak Khakhbakyan, architect Vecik, monk and poet Khachatur Kecharetsi and others lived and worked here. Kecharis was also one of the manuscript centers: several dozen Armenian manuscripts written and copied here have been preserved.

  Cable car

  In Tsaghkadzor, the popular ski resort of Armenia, there is a chairlift with 5 stations and more than a dozen ski runs. The armchaired ropeway of Tsaghkadzor is located on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis 1966-2819 m above sea level. It has been functioning since 1967. From the height of 2819 m, where the speedy chairlift will take you in 32 minutes, all of Armenia is visible at a glance, and if weather is clear, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat. In 2004 the former ropeway was replaced with a new, modern one, also in 2017 important investments were made. Now the ropeway is well equipped, the active and safe rest for tourists is guaranteed.
